Oct. 5th, 2005 08:41 amBeen something of a slow week around here, consisting mostly of me getting up, going to work, and coming home to do not much of anything. The housework is piling up, my energy levels are pretty low, and I'm already starting to feel frustrated with the new job. This should pass -- I usually get antsy around the 1-month mark, and things settle out around the 6-week mark -- but in the meantime, it's going to suck.
I'm in one of my moods where I want to do nothing but stay home, sleep late, and write fic. It's been a while since I've been in a mood like that. Okay, maybe not a while, but it's nice to have the inspiration and the drive to do so. I have some revisions to do to my latest installment of "No Place Like Home," as well as to sit down and pound out the next one, which focusses on Lee and Kara and the A/R thing. I've been writing a bit on the train in the afternoons, but nothing substantial. It's also very hard to write any kind of romance scene while you're worried about some old guy in a business suit, sitting next to you, reading over your shoulder. ::rolls eyes::
Oh, and before I forget --
terias, we're still coming down on Friday, but I still have no idea when we'll make it out of here. There's been some discussion of leaving early, but I really won't know until I figure out what is going to go on here today and tomorrow. I've got an extra 45 minutes on the books already, so we'll see what shakes out.
In the meantime, I've got some reading and more meeting rosters to do. Oh joy.
ETA: Serious ADD-type day today. Can't seem to retain a thought in my head -- like sand through a sieve. Incredibly annoying. Hope it will get better after lunch!
