The Princess and the Pea
Sep. 1st, 2004 01:50 pmWell, I did it. I started my first official JLA/JLU/Bats/WW fic, based on the animated series. Stayed awake until about 3 AM before finally surrendering the pen and notebook. It started out as a quick, simple idea. By the time I closed my writing journal last night, it was up to 7 (handwritten, 6x9) pages. And getting more complicated all the time. Still lots I want to add, and I've not even gotten going well. Just because I'm a tease, I thought I might show a bit here, in my LJ. And Alli? When it's done can I beg-borrow some beta reading? =)

I didn't mean for things to be very angsty but I think in the end they will be. I just find it impossible to write anything for Bats without some gothic backdrop. Guess that's why the majority of the action is likely going to take place at Wayne Manor. It also helps that it's my "home turf" -- I'm not comfortable writing action in the Watchtower or other JL-associated places just yet.
Maybe I need to go back and watch some eps of "Batman: The Series."
Right after I finish watching "Maid of Honor." ;)
