It's thus far been a very slow day. Only 1 PM, and I'm already bored outta my mind. The morning started out kinda rough when I woke up at 9 with a migraine, anyway. Rolled over, made myself go back to sleep. Woke up again around 10:30, and the headache seemed to have eased up some. I managed to get up and get something to drink and putter around a bit. The good news is that the keyboard I ordered from Amazon on Wednesday arrived this morning. So... I showered, dressed, and then sat down to play with my new toy.

Said new toy is a Logitech Elite keyboard -- the corded version -- and I'm loving it. I tried to cheap out a few months ago, with a GE keyboard, and the volume controls never worked properly; the drivers never allowed for them to be rebound. I'd spotted this keyboard at Best Buy at the same time, but wasn't prepared to spend $40 on it. Having received some graduation funds, I bought two things: (1) an nVidia GeForce FX5700LE video card and (2) this keyboard. The keyboard arrived first today (UPS), and the vid card will arrive later today (FedEx). The keyboard has a great feel to it, and all the little bells and whistles work! So much fun! I feel like Baby Plucky: "No your turn to press the button! MY turn!" Tee hee. As for the vid card, I'll give ya the scoop on that after a round or two of Galaxies. ;)

Now if I could get a new monitor, it'd be like a brand new system. Thank God there's not much of my Dell left laying around to remind me of *that* collossal mistake. Ugh. Oh well. Never again. The next computer will be custom built. Maybe DH should worry as I'm already scoping out motherboards and processors. ::grin::

I'm such a technogeek sometimes...

Ah well. Off to find something constructive to do (like laundry).
