Last Moments of Freedom

The last moments are upon me. Until sometime in May, this weekend will probably be the last "free" weekend I have, as I start classes again bright and early at 8 AM on Monday morning. I'm not so thrilled about this 8 AM class, but it's a requirement, and I refuse to let my GPA suffer just because I'm lazy. ;)
This week, I managed to post for both Becca and Nat. The Becca post wasn't the greatest, but it got at some of the stuff I've been rattling around for over two months. I started writing the post the weekend of the Army-Navy game (Go Navy!), and finally got around to finishing it this week. I think I have one more part to write before I start the mission for the team, and then we're off world for a bit. The Nathalie post was a post of epic proportion. I think, when pasted into Word, it took up the better part of 5 pages; I ended up breaking it into two posts. Maybe it's because she's a new character, but I think Nathalie draws out the writer in me. I've having a blast exploring her relationship with her ex-husband (prick that he is), as well as her evolving relationships with the personnel on base. The scuttlebutt will certainly be interesting. ;)
Other than that, it's been a lay-low week for me, recouping from a rather nasty sinus infection. Between the drugs and just feeling nasty, I've spent the lion's share of my week in bed, under the covers. I've started feeling better, but am having to force water to stay hydrated and prepared for karate class tonight. I *hate* water. Not sure specifically why, but I think it has something to do with the fact that it has no taste. I'd much prefer to drink 72 oz. of tea every day...but that won't help me burn off calories, reprogram my metabolism, or help the flexibility. So... I drink the nasty stuff. ::shudders:: Thank God for Brita filters.
Still have 9 chapters of The Gathering Storm to read by Wednesday. So not gonna make it. Sir Winston is so... repetitive. At least to anyone whose had any semblance of European history. ::sigh:: Ah well. At least it's a SmithClass, which means it will at least be entertaining. =)
