Today has been a thankfully slow day. The commute in wasn't too bad, the sun is shining, and I'm not being whisked away by strong winds. There's not a lot going on in the office, either. Most of the team had a meeting with the client to go over some dreaded documentation, but I wasn't required at the meeting. I did a few catch-up things, including trying to find a new meeting room for the big working group I'm required to coordinate, and have been twiddling my thumbs most of the afternoon. The result of my boredom has been two posts of decent length posted to the TF list, getting the ball rolling on a plot bunny that's been lurking for months. I'm currently working on the third, but it likely won't go out today -- not till I coordinate a bit with my partner in crime AKA XO. ;)

I also realized today just how long it had been since I posted to Command. Will try and get something going this weekend, but refuse to have a rushed weekend. The week has sucked bad enough. I need the break! Now just to get through the damned workday...

Picked up the car from the shop yesterday afternoon. All is well. They replaced the O2 sensor and, thus far, no "check engine" light. I'm hoping that fixed it. That whole malfunction thing was getting really old. Computer at work is up and running, and the network seems to be cooperating -- at least for now. ::knocks on wood:: And the computer at home seems to be recovered as well. I've yet to re-install Galaxies, but I think that will be done this weekend. I am, after all, paying for this game!

Going out tonight to dinner and a movie. Dinner is likely to be Applebee's -- something we don't have often -- and dessert will be Krispy Kreme (it's right next door). Gonna go later to see The Incredibles. Saturday will be spent doing Christmas shopping and grocery shopping. Sunday, I'd better be able to veg because I'm gonna need the break. Then again, any day that I don't have to go to work is a break at this point. Why, oh, why can't Congress get off their collective asses and pass the intelligence budget? (And go back to the drawing board on the intel reform stuff, but that's another post...)

Anyway... That's it for now. Time to go and look busy.
