So, andveryginger, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 4% unique (blame, for example, your interest in uss phoenix), 22% peculiar, 53% interesting, 18% normal and 4% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy writing). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is intellectual.

Your overall weirdness is: 34

(The average level of weirdness is: 29.
You are weirder than 72% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

...though it leaves me to wonder what public entry it's referring to. I haven't felt like I have two braincells to rub together recently!

On the other hand, who knows what the basis for comparison is...

ETA, aside: For those interested, I am still working on the Castle fan mix. I've just run into technical difficulties in getting the audio clips I need. I'll try and post up at least a preview soon. =)

Men smiled appreciatively; women glared. Diana merely looked on with amusement, blue eyes glittering behind a silver mask. )

I've decided that I need a little distraction and that I need to flex my creative muscles a bit. So, the standard meme applies: Choose a fandom, character, or pairing and provide a prompt. I'll provide at least a drabble, more if the muses take to it. =)

You can check the profile for interests/fandoms.

Everyone has a character they feel connected to, whether it be in a book, movie, show or video game. But how do others perceive you? Have your f-list tell you a character they see you as, and maybe even explain why.

And while I await your witty replies, I think I'll go re-up my account to a paid subscription. ::mutters about credit card expiration dates...::
andveryginger: (Default)
Actually, I'm not sure when I last did this one. I haven't done it very often, so I figured: Why not?

1. Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
2. Turn to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post that sentence along with these instructions in your LiveJournal.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

I have two that are equidistant, on either side of the keyboard:

"They took off their white slippers and started down the alley."
(A Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Supermystery: Secrets of the Nile, by Carolyn Keene)

"A man in a suit -- maybe a senator, maybe a legislative aide -- walked up, reading some papers."
(Hardy Boys Casefiles, #38: Diplomatic Deceit, by Franklin W. Dixon)

I know. Very deep. Can you tell I've been writing fic? =)

The top 106 books most often marked as "unread" byLibraryThing’s users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded.

bold the ones you've read
underline the ones you read for school
italicize the ones you own
add (*) beside the ones you liked and would (or did) read again. Even if you read 'em for school in the first place
add (#) beside the ones you'd never want anyone to read in any span of human history

[ profile] pwwka's Note: As I seldom fail to finish any book I've started, I changed the condition for italics to stipulate books one owns -- to see how much we are like the people of LibraryThing. I also added the #-mark, to `ware eager readers from horrid reads.

I operated under this same addition. =)

Follow the cut )

Thus, as far as the "classics" go, it would appear I am not very well read. Not included in here are:

My required politics and humanities readings rocked... )

Not as much fun as Emma or The Canterbury Tales, but essential to an understanding of politics in the US. This is where the whole "politics major" thing sticks out... =)

And finally...Poirot. )

I think Poirot might take the obscure title out of the bunch. =)

...mainly because they're sitting on their @$$e$, eating bon-bons all day, and not producing any ideas worthwhile. So, in an effort to give them a little workout, I offer this:

Most of you guys know my fandoms, you know my sims, or my RPGs. Toss me a fandom (or a character) and a prompt, and let's see what I can do.

If you need some help figuring out fandoms or whatnot, feel free to take a look at my interests to get some ideas.

And no, Alli, I haven't forgotten about Alice/Carlos. I'm still trying to track that muse down. Again. ::sigh::

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, the more trivial and fascinating, the better. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy eating brownie batter while watching old disco movies."
